What Ideas I Incorporated From Other Online Teaching Portfolios

There was not one simple idea that I found and incorporated into my site, instead I found many aspects of different sites and online portfolios that I liked, and combined them in a way that worked for me and my site. One common idea that I liked was having the different links to pages on the side of my site. That was something many online portfolios had in common, and although blogger has the option of putting them other places, I liked this best. It provides easy navigation and you don't find yourself really having to search the site for the different pages. Everything is presented clearly and concisely. I also used another idea I saw, which was post your philosophy of teaching on your professional portfolio site. I think this is a great idea, because your philosophy of teaching lays out your general beliefs as an educator and gives people a clear glimpse into who you are and how you will conduct your classroom.
